Trouble getting CV inputs and outputs working

Post by Strider » Tue Nov 05, 2024 5:33 pm

I wanted to use the LFO from my Voyager to modulate my Muse, but am not hearing any change in sound. I mapped a mod slot to use CV IN 1 as a source, and some arbitrary destination like pitch, set it to 100, but still nothing. I double checked and the LFO is indeed working and sending a signal, but it's not modulating anything on the Muse. The manual doesn't really go into much detail on the CV in/out section in terms of voltage requirements. Attenuating and offsetting the signal doesn't seem to help either. Am I missing something?

On my muse this is working. Plugged and external LFO into muse CV in 1. Be sure your cable has 2 wires, a ground and voltage. In Mod slot source set to CV in 1 and destination is OSC 1 pitch at 100%. I believe the muse input voltage spec is -5v to +5v.
You could also test on the muse by itself by:
1. setting a mod slot with source ModWheel to destination CV out 2 at 100%.
2. setting a mod slot with source CV in 1 to OSC 1 pitch at 100%.
3. Wire muse CV out 2 to CV in 1.
4. Test if the modWheel has an effect on OSC 1 pitch.
