Hi I'm new here but been on Yamaha Musician for many years.

I noticed under the "Muse" topic it showed postings but when I selected it, it says I'm not qualified. Now I didn't read all the laws & rules but how can you have an effective forum if a user can't post about the product he has under the correct topic?

I also tried to attach a photo but got an error the quota had been reached whatever that means as I've never posted a photo before.

I bought a Muse still within the return period, bought it "new" but someone had used it I could tell it was on Bank 6 and for other reasons. You never know why it might have been returned.

Mainly on rare occasion my screen goes blank for not reason while playing. Anyone else have this issue?

I had a rattle and had to open it up to reseat the cards because the DIMM style socket latch spring or something was vibrating with every key press. It sounded like a "Spring Reverb" when you tap it.

I'm still exploring it and need to know if mine has any issues. I also have the PolyBrute12, Deckard's Dream and I like them all.

Sometimes I get noises on a patch and have to reboot but maybe I fixed that by reseating the cards.

Regarding your Muse, the blank screen and noises may indicate hardware issues, especially since you mentioned a loose card. Rebooting and reseating might help temporarily, but if it’s still under warranty, it might be worth considering a return or contacting support to avoid further issues down the line.

Why are robots repeating lines from my post?

If I turn it on and don't touch it, the screen goes off after about 35 minutes I'm testing this for the third time. I didn't see anything in the menu. My PolyBrute 12 & Deckard's Dream power down all the time but it's obvious and not while I'm playing it. It goes into a flashing light routine but Muse only goes blank.

What was add was for it to go blank while I'm playing it. That seems peculiar however might be designed to cool down and I do have it in the data mode. The other issues have gone away I think if your cards aren't seated exactly you might have an issue. That's an easy fix. I think the unit is okay though. Might need another OS update.

Yeah 3 times it went off after about 35 minutes. What's most odd is that nothing else goes off, all other lights remain on so you get the sense that it doesn't make any sense or that it's not designed to do this. IF it's like all other synths the whole dash would go dim or show a sleep sequence. I suppose Moog just didn't do anything different except make the screen go dark.

Same for me. I received mine yesterday and my screen goes off, sometimes after a longer period of time sometimes after sevferal minutes. Selecting another patch immediately brings the screen back. - I also experience lots of midi freezes with origninal patches.

I think it's just a screensaver.

I've seen mine do that as well if left inactive for a while, but selecting a different patch brings it back

I have had my Muse for about 10 days and just noticed the screen went blank after messing in the mod map, it came back on again when I changed patches but thought it was too quick to be a screen saver as I’d only just gone into mod map.

It could indeed be a bug then. I noticed another one, in that if you press the little triangular menu button on blocks that currently do not have menu items, if you turn either SELECT or VALUE (can't remember which right now) it will lock the unit up.

I am going to check again later, and if consistent, I will raise the issue with Moog. I just hope they are better at responding to bug reports than Sequential....

Good catch. Eventually those menus will get expanded else no reason for that button. Hopefully it will be repaired whenever functions are added. I guess it's looking for data and not finding anything so it freezes.

It’s a screen saver. Nothing wrong.

I will say this. The diffusion delay is a confusing mess. Hopefully, in future updates, possibly we can save delay settings as separate presets as in the M1.
