Multiple Usage via Y adapter/mixers ??

Does anyone know if I could use a Y adapter and run two different synths thru say the Lowpass Filter Mooger into the Ring Modulator and thats where it would split off...one chain will go into a mixer (with boost function) and the other will keep going into a Mooger Delay, Mooger Phaser and a CP251. Now eventually they will both end up in the central mixer but short of buying two lowpasses and two ring modulators, I'm really wondering if I could accomplish this without spending another 5-6 hundred bucks or so.

I have a bunch of expression pedals that will accomodate hands-free tweaks, sweeps and swells. 8)

Any help would be priceless as I'd hate to have any of my Moogers get blowed up or fried.
Thanks guys.

It is OK to split signals with a Y adapter (one signal becomes two) but do not mix signals with a y adapter (two signals become one).

If I understand correctly, here's an alternative, if you have a mixer with aux sends (like a mackie 1202 or whatever).
One aux (or one direct out or one channel of 3/4 or whatever) goes to filter/ring. This returns it to the mixer, but into an an input channel. Then send an aux of this channel to the other effects and return this to either aux returns or an open input channel. I find this gives more control over the gain-staging (and if you're careful, the possibility for controlled feedback).
But I can't see why a mono-to-dual-mono y-cable won't work. Don't use a TRS to dual mono -- that's different.
Good luck...post some results!
