Holding a note in a sequence

Post by dakkan » Mon Mar 04, 2024 3:34 pm

Is there a way to write a sequence that tells the Moog to hold the note as if your finger is holding down the key? I would think there is, since so many sounds have a quality that changes over time when the key is held.

I apologize if this is super obvious to many...I'm not a super experienced player...

Thanks!

Hi Dakkan!

Not sure of what you want.
Is it similar to what a sustain pedal would offer? Or anything keeping a key depressed?

I guess it could be aftertouch? Which many presets, the sound changes over time when you hold the key down. I would like to program a sequence to do the same thing so that if the note is triggered, it continues to be "held" by the sequencer until the next note in the sequence comes.

Does that make sense?

Thanks!
