Model-D Wild Tuning Issue

Post by narfsounds » Mon Feb 26, 2024 10:45 pm

I turned on my 2022 Model D and got this wild tuning issue. I've already notified the shop I got it from as it's under warranty as it was purchased only 8 months ago but would like to know if its user serviceable. Here's a video showing what's going on. https://youtu.be/XTsa4pFbNl4

I would hope they would service it for you and correct the problem. It definitely has a problem and is unstable to the point of not even being playable.

If both oscillators are affected I assume a CV problem. Probably the keyboard voltage source (opamp) or a contact issue of the keyboard ground connection. I would start checking the keyboard voltage source first for fluctuations.
