this may be a stupid question but whats the best way to connect multiple moogerfoogers with a voyager?
do most people run an insert cable with the send / return chained through all the moogerfoogers? or as a serial chain from the voyager out, before the amp?

"Best" depends on what you are trying to achieve. You will get different results connecting things in different ways.
For some sounds you will have some moogerfoogfers connected to the Voyagers insert jack.
For some sounds you will have the Moogerfoogers connected to the main outputs.
For other sounds you will have moogerfoogers on an effects send/return from your mixer/daw.
And sometimes you will have a combination of those routings.
Also you'll probably want to change order of the Moogerfoogers to get different sounds.
Don't be afriad to just try things and see what works (or not).
