Model D Connections to Interface

Simple question, regarding recording a 2023 Model D.
My preamps are nice tube preamps that have line level settings/pads and XLR connections...Is it fine to use a 1/4 to XLR adapter, and then a standard XLR cable to connect the Model D to the Preamp (or I could have a custom 1/4 to XLR cable made if that's preferable)...not sure a DI box is needed here since the Moog is at line level, but just want to confirm with more experienced users.
