Voltage Control option for Moog CP3(A) modules

The British music producer Andy Gray-Ling asked me to do another customizing job for his System 35: Adding a Voltage Control Option to a standard CP3(A) Front Panel Mixer and Output module.

As this was something new to me I asked him why not to add another VCA, but probably because he ran out of cabinet space he asked me to find a way to integrate a simple VCA solution in a standard CP3 module.

So I designed a tiny VCA from my Formant Modular circuits as a daughter board solution which can be added to a CP3(A) module board as a satellite. Quite weird, but it works.
It runs with the standard Moog Modular power supply +12/-6 volts DC. So it can be added easily to all CP3s or CP3As in Moog Modulars.

I added the prototype of the satellite board to my TCP3 clone for testing. I used one interface input jack bush as new control voltage input and modified one of the outputs as the corresponding voltage controlled output. All other ins and outs of the CP3 keep their original functionality.

So any CP3(A) which is modified this way needs one addtional input for the control voltage obviously. This can be done internally or like I did with adding another input jack bush.

If anybody else is interested in this solution: I can deliver the naked PCB plus documentation, the assembled and adjusted board and / or can do the integration and adjustments in CP3(A) modules.
