Moog Voyager Presets

Post by marmar » Thu May 04, 2023 11:59 am

Hey guys, hope this is right forum to ask this question in. I've just started using a Moog Voyager that has been in storage for the last 8 years and I'm worried it might be a bit buggy preset wise. When I look through the factory sounds nearly half of them are just modulated glitchy noise, like an Lfo just controlling a tone... Is this normal? Also, how does one go about restoring the default presets to the synth?

Thanks,
Marcus

Welcome to this forum!

There is a function in the MASTER menu called FACTORY SETUP.

If the memory might be corrupted and the patches are not worth to store, try to use the FACTORY RESET function and then the FACTORY SOUNDS function. They are on page 69 onwards in my PDF version of the Voyager manual.

Please check the Firmware version of the Voyager. It might be outdated. But don't try an update before you did the two things described above.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Sequence:
Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16
