Dfam not advancing

Hi,
I am trying to pair my Dfam with Ableton CV tools. I am getting CV into the Dfam. I.e I can send a LFO to modulate Osc pitch. The problem is that I can't advance the steps on the Dfam, though. I am connecting the Ableton CV clock to the Advance input on the Dfam. It plays a note, but only a single step. It doesn't advance to the next step. Has anyone an idea why this could happen?
