Voyager XL osc. 3 not working

I just brought my Voyager XL out of storage and am having trouble getting oscillator 3 to play. I’m not sure if there’s a technical problem or if I’m just an idiot. If I turn on the oscillator in the mixer I can hear a click. Also, if while holding a key down I turn the wave shape selector knob back and forth quickly, I can hear something. But at no time can I get it to simply play a note. I have tried presets, initial sound, and actual parameters. Nothing changes. Am I missing something? Could use some help.
