Theremini with guitar amp - no sound

Hi,
I can’t get no sound using the rear panel L or R output and my Vox guitar amp. The sound still comes only from Theremini’s build-in speaker. I tried several Roland and Fender cables.
The guitar amp works fine through Theremini’s headphone connection with a basic thin stereo cable and adapter for the amp, but adding guitar effects this way is somewhat inconvenient and takes several adapters.
