Sub37 mod wheel pot replacement

Post by NickZoll » Thu Jul 28, 2022 9:03 pm

Hi guys, seems that pot of my sub’s mod wheel is dying. When I turn it, the parameters to not change smoothly but rather jump a bit, it especially noticeably when osc pitch is assigned, the pitch does not change gradually but makes scratchy noise. I tried to calibrate, did not help, am thinking of replacing the pot itself, do you know where I could buy a spare pot?

Thanks

I had my pitch bender fail and it wasn't possible to clean or restore. It's a special custom made pot with all its carbon contact range printed in a very small portion of the track. I'm not certain if there's anything special about the mod wheel in your case though. I tried emailing moog and was waiting for months and months for any assistance. One day I finally called them up and got help right away, but this was just days before the inMusic takeover. They ended up selling me an entire left hand control panel for a sub 25 that just went in. It was very reasonably priced and everything worked great after that.
