Keyboard intermittent signal to analog

I just bought a used Little Phatty Vers: 3.1 672, tested fine. Played for a bit, plugged in Midi USB In/Out to USB while in Ableton 10. Messed with some System Utilities and other MIDI settings as well presets. The subject issue then presented itself. I've tried Factory Reset and System Reboot. I've tried troubleshooting the issue with owner over fb messenge and even came over to help! We're stumped. Any recommendations or links to similar issues would be greatly appreceiated. MIDI signal is coming through but the connection to the synth seems messed up. We've tried different outlets, instrument cable seems fine.
