VX-351: KBD pitch out off

So I bought my Voyager perfomer with vx-351 and cp-251 many years ago, but only up until recently I am exploring 5u modular with the voyager as a centre piece.

When I connect the KBD pitch out to any of my 5u modules, tracki g is perfect but off (Ab instead of C).

When I bought my Voyager and VX there was mo output adapter board (460) supplied and I assumed it was pre-installed, since the cv-outs seem to work.Could not having the adapter installed be causing this pitch offset?

The adapter board is there, so that can’t be it ;)

Hi,

You'll probably get a better answer, but I experienced the same CV issue when using vx-351 gate- and pitch output on my SCI Pro-one. But I just tuned the oscillators on the pro-one and everything just went fine, I.e it tracked 1V/oct and stayed in tune as good as the voyager.
However- the pitch output on the voyager is for some strange reason not calibrated for exactly 1V/oct and is not very useful. Perhaps it's easy to adjust this cv output, but in that case I would need the schematics, which seems impossible :(

If I remember it right, the Voyager's CV out is a bit more than 1 V/oct. As it is very easy to adjust this to match the other synth CV in by using a variable resistor, it is not that easy (needs an OP-amp) to get from something like 0.97 to 1 V/oct.

I had this discussion with someone, and came to agree that being able to adjust the CV down to 1 volt is a better option, as connecting CV to devices can introduce losses
