Midi issues?

Hello All,
I am contemplating purchasing a Moog One next week. I have read a couple of things that may be concerning and wanted to know if anyone can advise:
Midi: I read that midi can be problematic, I haven’t used a DAW before and plan to connect the Moog to my audio interface and from there to my PC. I plan to use Ableton. Can anyone advise if they have had issues? I may also midi the Moog to my Fantom 8.
In addition I read that the Moog needs some coaxing that it might not sound stellar right out of the box. I realize that this is “the internet” and take all this stuff with a grain of salt. Just wanted some feedback from real Moog One owners.
One of the ways for me to learn about a synth is to deconstruct presets. I also plan on purchasing Geosynth’s patches as they sound superb.
