Are the Sub Phatty and DFAM compatible with each other??

Hi Forum users,
Please could anyone help?
I own a Sub Phatty and am thinking of getting hold of a DFAM
Should I buy a DFAM would there be any way to tempo sync the LFO of the DFAM to the LFO of the Sub Phatty so that both the DFAM and the Sub phatty's respective LFOS beat in time together?
In effect, I am looking to sync both these machines together, but I notice the DFAM only has MIDI in?
Would I need a third instrument to act as a master clock so that the DFAM and Sub Phatty can tempo sync together?
