Syncing DFAM, Subharmonicon and Mother 32

I just completed my three tier rack with the Mother 32, Subharmonicon and DFAM. The rack kit came with a diagram of how to patch everything to sync and I did that and now neither the DFAM nor the Subharmonicon will run and the Mother 32 just has one tone. Honestly I am not even totally sure of what syncing them does but it sounds like something I can use. I suppose it has something to do with clocks but I am not sure. Thanks.
