Use with DAW

I searched the Werkstatt topic but could find only particle answers on the issue I have. I would like to buy a Werkstatt 2020 version to use within my current set-up which is mainly build on use with Logic Pro 9. I have multiple hardware synths which all go by Midi or USB to my macbook, and the audio is connected via a mixer towards my audio interface. None of this gear has a CV or gate connection though... The only device which has this CV/GATE is my keystep. My question is: will I be able to connect the werkstatt via CV/GATE to my keystep and does this allows me to play, record and re-play in Logic 9? When I have multiple miditracks in Logic, connected and thus playing all different instruments, won't this effect the Werkstatt? I really don't know how this CV/GATE works so hopefully my question is sort of clear
