mf-101 making a high pitched squeal?

i bought a used mf-101 the other day, i know this is a "noisey" pedal, i own some vintage moogs and i know this is just a part of using analog gear. when i use it with my multi/micro set up i dont notice this squeal. but when i use it with my bass and fuzz(which doesnt make any noise because it has a built in gate) it makes like this light (but extremely noticable) background squeal. its kind of like a carrier signal but the pitch doesnt change, even if i turn down the drive and all the other knobs. anyone know if this is normal or a problem i need to get fixed?

my 101 suddenly started making a noice at about 5 khz when i did certain CV-connections. it was pinned down to the env follower circuit and we tried replacing an IC there but it remained. sounded like a ground loop and was eventually fixed with some improvised ground surgery
