Audio Cable Length

Guitarists and bassists online are always talking about signal loss or interference in (unbalanced) instrument cables over longer run lengths (often above 20ft), apparently because passive guitars and basses are considered high impedance devices.

Since synths are line level devices, do we have to worry about the same kind of problems? I'm looking to pick up a few 30ft cables for my synths as they would be a nice length but is that too long and am I sacrificing any tone from my Moogs?

Cheers

This is not a real problem for line level signals. But a symmetrical cable would give you a better protection on interference with power cable and cables of a light show that uses dimmers.
