Grandmother 1.1.0 firmware. Tap tempo clock division persistance turns off for no reason

I don't know if this is a new issue for v1.1.0
I set 1.4 Tempo Clock Division Persistence to on (with double click).
I tap in a rhythm. Set the clock division.
Tap in a new rhythm, clock division is there.
Repeat with different rhythms a few times. Clock division soon goes back to 1:1, and stays there.
I haven't even stopped play or left tap mode.
Another thing. It now takes 3 taps to set a new tempo. Has this always been the case?
2 taps is what every musician (who knows the difference) wants.
It may have always been 3 taps, but I suspect this has been changed as after firmware update my subjective feel was that the moog wasn't working the same.
Anyway, 2 taps please! (Moog?)
