Question about display (protective plastic)

Hi there.
I got myself a second hand (4 months old) subsequent, but I have a (silly) question.
Is this plastic supposed to be peeled off?
It feels different from other brands.

That's just a protective film that's intended to be removed. I pull those films off of all products when I get them. The screens are usually sharper and clearer without the protective film.

I am pulling it off right now.
It feels so sturdy compared to what I'm used to.
That was my doubt....

I still have the protective plastic on my Prophet Rev 2. (2017) I wasn't sure about it when I got it but it has survived my process extremely well and now I just can't bring myself to remove it. My Sub 37's protective film was taken off immediately as there was no question about keeping it. Your pic does look like packing tape though.

Mine was much more carefully sized to the display. It was so well stuck on and thick it took me about 6 months to summon the courage to peel it off!

True.
Took me one post in the forum to check...
It is off.
Although that was rather hard.
And scary
