Why such short recording time?

Hello,
Is there a functional reason to keep the recording time so short? It's kinda like running a marathon and having to stop every 254 feet to rest. Makes it hard to stay focused for a 26 mile run. Same with working on a song and having to cobble bits and pieces together. That said, Animoog is still my favorite iOS synth, nothing comes close to it.
