i LOVE my MF-104Z, but...

Post by lilcapn » Wed Aug 23, 2006 3:35 pm

...yesterday in the studio, all of a sudden, no signal out! tried all diff. guitars, keys, cables, etc...was working fine 10 mins before...

it's definitely RECIEVING signal (the green input light lights up when you "make noise" into it) but nothing's coming out, in either delay or bypass mode.

i guess i'll have to mail it in but i hate to part with it for that long!

anyone else experience this?

thanks!

I had a problem where the wet signal would cut out (dry signal would still come through ok). Had to send it in and get it serviced, now it's fine though. Maybe you could exchange it at the dealer's if you recently bought it?

I've had a similar problem with all of my Moogers--where all of a sudden I can't get any signal. It's weird, sometimes I can just switch power outlets, or cords, etcs and it will start working again.

Also, sometimes I feel like the CV inputs need to be "reset". If I send an LFO, or CV signal to one or all of the CV inputs, then the Mooger will start working again as if nothing was wrong...

I believe it has something to do with power, polarities and/or grounding. But so far, I can always get them working again.

So, you may want to try some of these suggestions before taking it in for repairs.
