And this is for something that could be regarded as a mechanical defect.
Ah well, wonder if it's easy to install by own's ownself...

Granted, it's too bad the after pressure wasn't better to begin with, but here is where Moog stands above most other synth manufacturers; they came up with an affordable upgrade. Most other companies would have done nothing or come up with separate "b" model of the synth. Moog listens to their users and responds.

I still find it difficult to believe that Moog Music allowed the Voyager to be produced with what was basically a completely flawed and useless aftertouch mechanism- really, they never should have let it out of the factory that way. At the very least I hope that the fix is priced so that they are breaking even on it, because I would be somewhat disappointed if they were making money on this. If they were a larger company with deeper pockets, I would have expected them to issue a recall and fix it for free....at least they are offering a deal on the fix with the 3.0 hardware upgrade.

It would be nice if Moog also anounced a filter glide fix so owners could send in their synths once and get both fixes done.
BTW, did you notice in the aftertouch demo videos the rack of Moogerfoogers behind the Voyager? It looked like a nice custom stand for the Voyager and MFs. Moog should start selling something along those lines

So it will probably run a little over $200 by the time I pay for the shipping to/from

The after touch was useless from the beginning on. Now we have to pay for fixing this design error? The Fatar keyboard action used here (as used in many other well known synths) is not the problem.
And we have to ship (and we have to pay to ways and get through the customs) our Voyagers from Europe to America to get it fixed? There should be some European distributers allowed to do the fix.
Please !

Yeah, but the fix sounds GOOD. If they deal w/ the other couple issues I may buy one.

yeah it really is time for moog to sort out a decent british distributor. the hands off approach over here in the uk is harsh.
Lucky for me

Lucky for me, my sister lives in Ashville and i'm moving back to NC soon, so i'll go visit her and take a trip over to Moog... get a tuneup, 3.0 upgrade, a few questions answered, have it looked at for the known pitchbend problems on the Signatures, and get this one. All in one nice trip.

It sucks having to pay for shipping both ways PLUS labor for the installation. I been lovin Moogmusic, but this kinda blows. I live in Hawaii & it aint cheap to ship this puppy out to Ashville, NC. They should at least do the mod for free or real extra cheap...We're talkin a $400 bill here w/shipping!!!!!!! Nuts! The mod sounds fantastic & I want it in my Voyager, just wish I could do it mySelf, I am well outside of warranty coverage anyway...MOOGMUSIC!!!! HOPE YOU'RE LISTENING!!! HELP ME INSTALL IT MYSELF!!!
AHHHH!!!!
peace
Daniel

The pages says: After-pressure Field Upgrade (Upgrade to Blue Wheels). Shurely some mistake. Also it's $50 more than the factory install. I guess a hearty wtf would not be uncalled for here.

hehe - if you go to the main afterpressure control page, the upgrade is now on special: $0.00. Now that's more like it:

check it again. there's no "add to cart" button on the $0.00 page. looks like it's $185 for those of us with v3 os.
