how does a 12 stage phaser compliment the low pass filter?

anyone here have both and use both of them at the same time? i'm just wondering how both of these two react in a way that would suit most people. i'm into electronic/synth music and i can already get a nice sound out of the LPF but what can i do with a 12 stage phaser along with an LPF?

you could use the lfo on the phaser to modulate the filter
use the env follower to modulate the phaser

use the env follower to modulate the speed of the lfo then plug that into the filter

take off the high end to make the phaser sound more mellow

there is a huge number of things you can do with any combination of different moogerfoogers

The sound great together. I like having the stereo outs on the 12 stage.

i hear you can get that 'classic moog filter sweep' by using both the phaser and the filter. is this true?

I assume that the "classic sweep" is just using the lfo to modulate the cutoff frequency so the 102, 103 or 251 could do this (it looks like Godzilla mentioned this above). Check out your other thread about using an lfo with the 101 too.

would the phaser strengthen/improve the filter sweep? what about a ring mod?
