Hi folks,
I have a question - would anyone here know if the new Minimoog reissue uses an 'edge' trigger or a 'level' trigger output..? What I need to know is does the trigger stay high for as long as a key is held..?

Cheerz,
Tom

Hi Tom,

the V-Trigger of the reissued Minimoogs got a +5 Volt signal on as long as a note is pressed. So it is rather a gate then a trigger.
If it would not stay on as long as a note is held, this output would be rather useless to drive an anlog synth via its CV outputs.

But the original Minimoog labelled its S-Trigger output "trigger" too, although it was closing for the length of the held note. So it is more a historic naming for the gate.
