Are the Minitaur’s CV inputs protected from over-voltage?

I’d appreciate any insight into this. I’ve just ordered a Sonicsmith Squaver P1 which outputs a 0-9V gate signal. There is a demo from the manufacturer where it is used with a guitar to drive a Minitaur. I asked the manufacturer if they attenuated the signal and he said he just plugged the Squaver’s gate output directly into the Minitaur’s gate input. I’d like to know whether this will cause damage before I try it myself.

Here’s the video:

My understanding is that you don't fry the Minitaur immediately, but that you shouldn't overload it on a permanent basis. These voltage numbers mean something.

So I would take no chances and attenuate.

I have accidentaly fed it high gate voltage with no consequences. but as mentioned above, i wouldnt recomend it.
