Voyager XL front panel mods?

I want to add the following CV inputs to my XL front panel:
filter spacing
filter resonance
there is ample space for them, under the "filter cutoff" CV in. see mockup image below:
has anyone else done anything like this?
how difficult would it be, to wire them into the circuit?
I know you can program different controls to affect them in the menu, but I want to keep MOD1 and MOD2 open for other things
it would open up a lot more possibilities for interfacing with external 'foogers and other CV sources
