How exactly do I do that. I don't have the foggiest idea. Are there any benefits from updating it?

Updating Voyager OS

To expand slightly perhaps.....
You will need to ensure that you can interface your PC to your Voyager via MIDI.
Your current sound card may have a MIDI interface on-board (which will probably need some form of MIDI to 'whatever' cable) or you may have a dedicated MIDI interface available.
If you don't have any kind of MIDI interface then I'd suggest you pick up something cheap like a midiman midisport 2x2 USB (so long as your PC has a USB interface).
You can then download some software like MIDI-Ox which will allow you to transfer SysEx format files to your Voyager via the midisport.
The OS update process is well documented elsewhere.
If you haven't got the latest OS then you will be missing out on all of the latest control options of the instrument that have been made available.

My advice Boeing is to download the latest Moog Voyager manual from this site there is also an addendum pdf file that outlines the changes to os update 1.5. If you decide that the features are useful to you( and imho they are) then i will tell you exactly how to do it, but you will need a midi interface and sequencer software like cakewalk or cubase.I have tried with sysex loaders but had a few problems( not impossible though). But always had 100% success with cakewalk and Cubase. I live in the Uk so if you needed to phone then it wouldnt cost you so much. Hey if you brought it along i would even do it for you.
