In Ableton, other instruments trigger Sub 37

Using my Sub 37 as midi controller works in Ableton except occasionally when I disarm the sub 37 and arm another instrument, the keys played will also trigger the same keys on my Sub 37. I noticed this problem is fixed when I turn off the Sub 37 and then back on. The Sub 37 is then only triggered when I arm the sub 37 in Ableton as expected. It seems to happen most often when I have another instrument armed and I adjust the filter or other knobs on the sub 37. I think it's a midi setting, just not sure which one.
