lfo and s&h

Post by cheveux.boucles » Sat May 27, 2006 8:43 pm

i was wondering, if i want a decent (extra) lfo and an s&h module, for use with my awaited order of the moog little phatty, what would be my best bet?
I'm still looking at moog gear, i am just deciding between the vx-351 and the cp-251. It looks as if they would both work and the vx-351 seems much more economically friendly...but, since i don't plan on using it with a voyager, will i be okay?
- any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

The VX351 is only useful with a Voyager. It connects only to the Voyager to provide CV outs of most of the Voyager's functions. On the otherhand, the CP251 would be very useful with the Little Phatty.

The CP-251 also has a Noise source (missing in the LP) as well as a lag processor to adjust CV's, plus a mixer and a couple of attenuators.

As Mark said, a CP-251 would make a fine accompanyment to the LP.
