I was doing a firmware update to my LP stage 2 (from 3.1 as far as I can remember) but the information didn't finish transferring and kind of froze. When I disconnected it and switched it on again it wasn't working. The dreaded blank screen, lights on but no sound. Apparently you need a device to debug the LP before reinstalling? It seems to be a common enough problem from a quick bit of google research. Just wondering if this has happened to anybody else on here and if there are any stories of success with sorting it out. I have located the debug device that i can buy but apparently there are hex files that are needed with previous firmware etc. Would really appreciate some advice on this or even better if i could be put in touch with someone who could give me the files. Luckily i work with an electrical engineer who repairs synths and computers so it would be in safe hands.

Hello, I have the same problem on my stage 1. I have a programmer for jtag, but there is no .hex file for the chip. Can anyone help? Is the firmware for jtag different from midi firmware? Thank you!
