Building attenuators for Moogerfoogers

So at this point I have four moogerfoogers, two of which have LFO outs. I don't really need a CP-251 and just want to build my own attenuators and a multiple for my foogers. I plan to use regular TS jacks and then use TRS cables to avoid the voltage out of the foogers. I really want to use the carrier out of the MF-102 I have and attenuate the Mf-101 filter for some FM goodness. Will this work or am I missing something and need to use TRS jacks as well as cables? Would love to get some input on this from someone who has been here before.

Thanks!!

just saw your post. you've probably already solved, but if not, here are some bare-bones examples of inline attenuators and mults, done for modulars back in the 60s i think...:
