Moog Model 15 Jarre Laser Harp sound

Post by henrikh2008 » Sun Mar 05, 2017 11:47 am

Hi, everyone.

Now that i have been playing around with
Moog model 15 and took a couple of tutorials,
Atleast i can now create some simple patches etc.
What i want to do next is, create the well known
Elka Synthex Jarre laser harp sound with Moog Model 15,
Is it possible to do that with Model 15 app ?.
Offcourse i know model 15 app is a complex synthesizer,
It will take some time before i can create some great synth sound.

I do have experince in synth programming, not that i am an
expert, but creating patches in Halion 5, vstation, Omnisphere..

I have been trying to create the laser harp sound with
a triangle wave, pulse width modulation, etc.
Most important is to use hard sync on one osc and
slave on the other osc.

Many have tried to recreate the laser harp sound
without sucess, i mean i just dosenn't sound like the real
Elka Synthex laser harp sound Jean michel Jarre is
using!.

I am getting much better with Moog model 25 app.
Now i can create brass like patch, bass, vibrato,
filter sweep etc.

In Moog model 15 app, there is a knob setting called
"synch weak/strong", i should set the osc synch
to strong.
Allso, patching a cable from the osc synch-in to
any other osc waveform out, like sine, should
atleast create a strong synch metallic sweep sound,
but here the strong synch on the oscillator
dosent seems to work, because the synch sweep
dosent move.
As usually, when creating a strong synch sweep,
one oscillator is master and the other is a slave.
Deffently i need more understanding of the
Moog model 15 app.
Hope anyone can help!.
Chears.
