MF-102 Mix CV in "short" when Freq CV in fed ENV from 101

Post by Cjstout » Sat Jan 21, 2017 3:28 pm

Problem:

MF 102, freq CV in: ENV from 101, because... of course.

However, when I plug my EP2 or EP3 into the mix CV in, the mix control does not respond.

As soon as I unplug the freq CV in, the mix control responds to the pedal.

Clearly I want to control the freq with the the 101 envelope, and blend the mix with my expression pedal.

In theory this should work. What am I missing? Does something need to be fixed?

Thanks for the help!

What I understand reading the manual is that when pluging in a pedal, the knob position is the lowest value the setting can meet.
Meaning that with your EP2-3 plugged, the knob will be operational if the pedal is full-heel.

Welcome to the forum BTW :)

You are probably using a ts-cable to connect the cv from the 101 env to the freq-CV input of the 102?
Connecting a ts-cable into one of the CV-inputs shorts the power at the ring contact of all the other inputs, and therefor, the expression pedal does not work anymore. If you want to use them together, use a trs-cable to connect the 101 with the 102 (it's in the manual actually).
