AWESOME......I loved it

I also love YouTube.....best thing since sliced bread.....
I'm a huge music video junkie and YouTube satisfies my hunger since channels like mtv and vh1 have virtually made music videos obsolete.

btw, any fans of 80s music videos, this is your source!

I've just discovered Youtube in the last couple of weeks and I'm totally hooked. Not sure how long it will last though before it starts getting copyright grief.

Do a search for synth* or Moog , brings up all sorts of interesting stuff.

There was another film that featured a moog modular in the background, but that film is not appropriate for this forum

Miranda Does Extreme Filter Modulation?

Multiple Oscillator Extravaganza?

The Clockwork Cucumber?

Emmanuelle Goes Hocketing?

Ooh, you found my movies. : )

Wow, I was going to come here and tell all of you about them, but I hadn't yet.
Yes, the video is called Discovering Electronic Music, and I got it at a school garage sale. I nearly choked when I found it... it's not often you find footage of modular Moogs!

I have been tempted to sell it in DVD form, but of course, that would be gross copyright violation... which is sad. I suppose I could contact the copyright holder, or something. I've never done anything like that.

I just WRITHE when they spend so much time talking about how to simulate acoustic sounds with that glorious Moog. Ugh. They have a Fairlight in the video, you'd think they could be content simulating acoustic sound with IT.

But definitely... if you haven't seen these videos, you should... it's wonderful to hear a Moog modular up close and personal from a technical standpoint... not just "this is a song that features one," but "this is what the envelope module sounds like."

Also, while you're kicking about YouTube, you might check out my other movies... if ou're interested in hearing a Korg PS-3100, and seeing how each portion operates, I have movies about that. I also have a movie that I'm waiting for everyone to guess all of the synthesizers featured in it... I know that even most of you will be stumped by at least two of them. : )

I'm glad you're enjoying the movies, writeroxie, etc! : )
