you can read that or help me out with finding a new transformer for my prodigy. I don't know where to get one. It is supposed to output 23Volts but at what amperage?

I think the one I have now doesn't put out enough voltage:
red wire: .069 volts going to cr11
red wire: 2.4 volts going to cr13
green wire: 1.05 volts going to c42 and c43.

the schematics are available here for anyone daring to help: http://www.hylander.com/moogschematics.html.
I have the later model circuit B (starting on page 5)

on a side note: someone a long time ago went through a lot of trouble to paint it white with blue splatter paint all over it... a la Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas style... It looks very cool. I only wish it sounded as cool as it looks!

It makes lots of sounds, but has lots of issues that I assume come from a lack of power.

Please help.

No offense to Ralph Steadman (or you).... but if you don't take that Prodigy down to natural wood, you deserve a broken transformer. First things first.

The service schematic shows the secondary windings fused at 250mA -- so you should be OK with a transformer of 10VA, or perhaps slighty more to be on the safe side.

The manual shows +/- 23v RAW - As this DC is then regulated it is not a critical value.

I would suggest trying a 12 or 15VA transformer with 0-18, 0-18 Secondary windings.
