Elektron Overbridge disconnects Sub37 VST editor

Hi there,

I recently posted in another thread that I have problems with connecting the VST in Ableton properly to the Sub 37 hardware while the standalone editor works fine.

Now I found out that my Analog Rytm which is connected in Overbridge mode instantly disconnects the VST - hardware connection when turned on.

When the Rytm is OFF everything works perfectly. I already tryed different USB ports for both devices and different midi on/off settings in the Ableton preferences menu but nothing helped so far.

I'm running it on Windows 10 64 and I would be really grateful for any ideas.

I had exactly the same. Did you (correctly) install the moog midi driver that comes with the package of the editor? The manual claims that without the driver only 1 editor can be active.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply, but what excactly do you mean with "only one editor"?

I just re-installed the driver and now it acts:

when starting ableton and Rytm is turned off, the VST editor works fine. when I turn on the Rytm only the MIDI IN connection to the VST Editor is getting lost. when assigning a different MIDI IN port and after that re-assigning the Sub 37 Midi In Port the editor works perfectly.

When starting the stand alone Editor parallel to ableton the stand alone works perfectly, no matter what I do with the rytm. strange, eh?
