My voyager was chipped! Oh man. I waited so long to get it and now i have to send it back.
Its a small chip on the lower right hand corner of the pitch and mod section where the panel meets the wood. Oh its tiny but i can see it a mile away and its pretty rough.
My heart is broken. I was playing it very late until like 130 (had to be up @5am) and when i saw the chip i couldn't touch it anymore i was pissed.

sorry to hear that, I know how I felt when just a bit of the stain had rubbed off on the front lower corners. I had to go out and buy some right away - silly I know as it had no effect whatsoever on the AE but you know how it goes.

I don't knoa baout the stain. There is a spot on the top to the right of the voyager name that looks a tiny bit doscolored.
You know though I have had alot of heartache since i bought this synth. I actually considered getting a refund.
I hope that they will take care of me though.
I am practically left with having to settle for sending it back for a replacement of the wood panel that is chipped, but since then i have noticed that some of the plastic on the knobs that cover the metal seem to be bubbling off and I don't know if that is something that it supposed to be removed or not. Then the part of the stain that looks discolored on the top of the panel.
Im really wondering if i was meant to spend that 3000 on an instrument but i feel surely that for that price there shoudl be no issues like these.
WHen the whole thing is settled I will post my overall experience on a new thread.

Where did you buy the Voyager ? I didn't know you could still buy Voyagers directly from Moog and if you did I can see why you would hold them responsible. But if you purchased it from a dealer something could have happended to it there. So to just blame Moog maybe a unfair until you explore all avenues.

If you are dissatisfied, you need to send it back to Robbs Music. That's where you purchased it from. Make them earn that middleman money you paid them!

Doesn't matter. They are the dealers and are responsible for you getting a brand new synth. That is what you paid them for. Don't have them convince you otherwise. Your other option is making a claim with UPS. Certainly it was insured, however you may have waited too long for a claim. The longer you wait in resolving this, the less chance you have of getting it taken care of.

Hey no biggie its being taken care of. Moog will repair the wood.
I wonder if i can get a custom alteration...like say a backlit panel installed?
