DOes your etherwave click when the volume antenna is touched

Does anyone notice any clicks from the Etherwave standard when the volume antenna is touched? Mine used to sound totally pristine until i took the antennas off. I babied it properly like all moogs should be but the more i reassembled it the more i noticed that it clicks with you touch the volume antenna. It seems to work just fine though.

I have removed my antennae on numerous occasions and have yet to experience this problem and hope that I don't. Hope it's an easy fix.

I built my own etherwave theremin from a kit.
It sounds like a mechanical contact problem.
The antenna is connected to the PCB with a wire, if I remember right.
May be, this wire is loose. You can open the case of the theremin and proof this.
It should not be difficult to repair this. You should check whether there is good contact.
Either the contact to the antenna is loose, or the contact at the other side.
There were two types of etherwave with small differences, how the antenna is fixed.
Did you ever try to rotate the antenna? It is relatively long and the forces are high applied to the wooden box. You should avoid this.

It could be the volume oscillator. When yu touch the antenna it resets to zero, and starts it's cycle again, sending a single audible pulse, which I suppose only happens when you turn the thing on. I wouldn't know how to fix it, so if the problem arises I'd just tune the volume so its silent befor you touch the antenna, and avoid touching it.

Actually I called tech support back then and they said that its just the nature of the sensitivity of the thing. I haven't noticed it alot, but I don't play my theremin a lot either. I think if you really get to boosting the signal youll hear all kinds of ghost tones and stuff.
It works like a dream when I do play it.
