sweetwater has reduced the price, I am afraid you might be right. I hope we are both wrong.

Some time back an update was promised but with all the other work going on I would imagine that the Sub Phatty is now a low priority. I have been hanging on to mine hoping to poly chain it with my Sub 37 but I may just sell it now to fund another Sub 37.

Terrible if this is true. I have also been waiting very patiently but it seems this may just be true, price has dropped here in the UK also. I also notice a change in the front panel design. I had my panel replaced due to defects, perhaps why.

My first venture into Moog synths hasn't been a good one :(

poly chaining 2 sub 37's is a very interesting idea, that I don't need to be gassing over. I'm hoping for an 11th hour resolve with the sub phatty update. :)

Yes it has. Sad but true...

I 've noticed it since the Sub 37 first came out. Also my first experience with a Moog. It has been very VERY disappointing...

Far from abandoned! In fact there's already firmware with poly chain enabled;
we're only waiting to begin beta-testing it until Sub 37 Editor is released... which is behind schedule, we anticipated it would be out by now.
This has a knock-on effect of delaying action on the Sub Phatty, because the same team is responsible for both.

My sincere apology for this delay. Updating the Sub Phatty firmware and editor is an extremely high priority for Moog, and a lot of work has already been done.

If anyone is both out of patience and willing to be an early tester, I can probably get a firmware build ready before there's an updated editor... this would mean setting poly chain settings using sysex commands, which is a nuisance but not too difficult. send me a pm if interested.

Moog is a growing company... the delayed updates for Sub Phatty and Minitaur are symptoms of some growing pains. We've recently expanded our firmware and software teams, in order to provide better and more responsive support for all our products. It is taking time to catch up with the backlog, though. I know this update doesn't excuse the long delays but I hope it helps give some context.

Kind regards,

Amos

Many thanks Amos

much appreciated!! i know how addictive the etherwave is! (I mean how busy you all are)

if you need help with testers, I am happy to oblige, if its not really needed I will just be patient - glad to hear were almost there.....i do see a shining light at the end of the tunnel

ps maybe you should make a more robust os update docs for moog synths - i have seen a lot of threads from little phatty people frying their os, due to wrong patch installed, too fast a sysex transfer, wrong patch installed, wrong booter installed....i do brick it a little any time i go to update moog synth os - i have had to go thru a lot of threads on this forum to resolve issues, instead of this info being present in accompanying doc attached to os file - or at least an os update faq on the site with the current info....anyways just my observations...

Thanks Amos.

I'm happy to hang on, now we have a little clarity on the situation :)

Awesome, thanks for the update Amos

Everything is running pretty good on my end with Sub Phatty, The Editor, and Cubase but I do have some small issues that hopefully get fixed. Not show stoppers by any means but little annoyances.

I pretty regularly have to ""initialize global parameters" because for some reason occasionally "activate panel" produces help/stuck/sustained midi notes.

Again, not a huge deal.

Thanks for continuing support for Sub Phatty

I wait for a properly working editor for the Minitaur quite eager.
It's been a long wait.
