Trouble accessing midi setup menu

Hi All,

I'm trying to learn the features of the 32, yet for some reason I can't get the MIDI setup menu to work properly.

I've tried pressing / holding the button combination in the manual, to no avail. (Pressing Shift + Reset + Set End + Step 8 ), midi connected and not, signal on and off.

By pressing Shift + Reset + Set End + Steps 1 + 8 I was able to reach some weird feature where all the lights would flicker (looked like christmas), but it wasn't any menu as far as I could tell. That was the only shift set end menu I could find to work.

Any help on this? I'm having much trouble with the LED color interface indicating features.
