MIDI control for the offset of the filter cutoff frequency

I have a Voyager XL which has a CUTOFF input jack that allows to add or subtract something from the filter cut-off frequency. I try to change that by MIDI, but it seems that there is only a MIDI message (#19) to change the global amount of this frequency and not to add (or subtract) an offset. Is there a specific MIDI message for that?
If not, I suppose that it is possible to send a MIDI message to a "MIDI to voltage controller" and then use a jack from that controller to my Voyager XL. Has anyone try something like this? What is the best controller of that kind?

I am not 100% on this and also can't answer regarding midi as I haven't dove into full midi control of the voyager yet, but I am pretty sure that with the filter cutoff cv input jack, you can only add to or increase the cutoff setting which is summed with the filter cutoff knob setting. So, if you want full control with the cv or midi, first turn your cutoff knob fully counter clockwise. Does that make sense to you?
The filter setting is not bipolar like -5 to +5, it is 0 - 5 or 0 - 10, not sure off hand.
So, you can only add to the setting, but if your knob is at "0" then you can add and take away from what you added.

I double checked in the manual and I was wrong anyway,
I guess I was right if you are using an ep-3 expression pedal
Which is 0-5v. I didn't realize you can subtract from the setting with a negative
Volt input on that Jack. Hopefully one of the midi wizards will pop up.

Concerning the control of the CV via MIDI, it is not necessary to put the cutoff to zero, since it suffices to limit the amount in the MIDI command. Ideally, a MIDI command should exist corresponding to the different inputs of the Voyager XL.
Any idea of good CV-to-MIDI and MIDI-to-CV converters ?

So interesting, Looks you discovered one of my DIY projects for 2016. Will receive my RME in a few days and I was thinking about this how to experiment with the XV352. Thought about a low cost MIDI/CV and CV/MIDI converter with multiple CV I/O's instead of having to buy Eurorack and all kinds of expensive overpriced modules. What CV I/O and options do you think are needed in such device (7 or 14 bit MIDI CC to analog), other functionality ?
I am sure many other may have thought of making something like this.

To be honest, I have no idea what kind of options such a converter should have. I suppose receiving some value associated with a given MIDI CC number and transform it in a CV or a GATE signal (a switch ?).
