Prodigy & Doepfer MAUSI/MCV4

Hello,
i have an old prodigy and i want to control by my soft sequencer. i use as MIDI-CV converter one doepfer MAUSI (maybe i'll change it with the MCV4). As wrote in the manual i've changed the gate setting of converter (moog synths use s-trig). Everything seems to work ok: i'm able to control my moog from soft sequencer or from drum machine. There only a strange thing: if SUSTAIN knob of LOUDNESS CONTOUR panel is open, prodigy generate a sustained sound even if soft sequencer is stopped and the midi editor empty (no notes). Why?
These are my question:
->i've read in the web that there are differences between connections made with mono or stereo jack but i didn't find evidence of this in the doepfer manual.
-> At the moment i need to connect in cascade moog/mausi & my korg er to my mac/soundcard. But how? I've supposed to do a connection of this kind : MIDI IN->OUT>IN...etc..etc.. but mausi have no midi out so it's impossible for me to start (and close) chain from my soundcard. Do u have any suggestions?
->In yr opinion, is doepfer mcv4/mausi a good device for my moog or the best choice is the most famous kenton pro solo?
[OT]->Just a little curiosity: mausi, sh 101 and moogerfooger 102: is there a way to connect them? (Maybe i can connect mausi with sh101 cv/gate in and moogerfooger to sh 101 cv/gate out)
