There's a great new IOS app called midiLFOs that adds a whole new dimension to programming the Theremini.
This app produces four independent LFOs that can be assigned to any CC on any Midi channel. The outputs can scaled to fit any range you might find useful (want the LFO to only go from CC value 66 to 87? No problem!), and you can have the LFOs modulate each other in various ways to produce delightfully complex waveshapes. By reversing the start and stop points in scaling, you can even invert the waveform (reverse sawtooth, for example). The LFOs can be synced to Midi as well.
Each LFO has five different waveforms, including a random sample/hold function. You can modulate the Theremini wavetables, mix functions, filter controls, basically anything that there's a CC destination for.
This opens up a lot of formerly untapped programming possibilities, from subtle to lush to truly bizarre voicings.
Lots of glitchy goodness when modulating the digital delay time! I've been waiting for something like this for a while, and this one doesn't disappoint.
This is the first of four planned apps like this from the developer. Can't wait to see what else he comes up with!

Re: Interesting IOS App for Theremini
cool finding! thanx alot. nice app...i thought midi was dead but with those new devices it's like back alive. i fumbled a lot with the tb mididstuff app as a controller for the theremini's midi-internals. and made some cool pages for it. i like it a lot for the delay part of the theremini. i still wish there where some more distinct waves availlable on the theremini, like vowels or something like strings. phew, it's melting hot here...
so thanksagain.
