Prodigy pitch wheel range

Hi there.
I'm a happy owner of a 1979 Moog Prodigy, which is still in very good condition - it's tuned and it also STAYS in tune! It only has minor scratches on its wood panels, as it has been "touring" a bit in Germany in the eighties...

Well, let's get to the point: the pitch wheel range. I put that wheel completely "down" or "low" and what I got was a perfect octave lower than in the middle position. That was exactly what I wanted, but somewhen I played with that pitch wheel and after returning it into the lowest position, I do not get anymore a full octave lower. Instead, I get like 11 semitones...

First question: what's the "default" range for the pitch wheel on the Prodigy?
Second question: is there any way to have it back to -12 semitones?

Thanks in advance and kind regards,
Flavio.

I suspect that, either your pitch bend potentiometer is dirty, or the connector of the mod wheel assembly is. Either way, the best thing to do is to open up the synth and have a look at them.
Or if you're not comfortable doing that, have someone who is do it for you.

Thanks for your reply.
Am I therefore correct when thinking that the Prodigy has -12 semitones range with the pitch wheel? Because I read in some other threads that it's kind of "not fixed", this pitch wheel range...

My Prodigy's pitch wheel also does 11 semitones instead of 12... Have you ever managed to find the cause? or, is this normal for Prodigy?
