What polysynth to go along with a Voyager?

I'm about to get me my first polyphonic synth. I've thought about a Juno orJX3/8P, mainly because I like the 80's sound. But maybe I'll get too restricted sonically with those. Have heard about some that pair their Minimoogs with DSI or Sequential. Tried a friends Prophet08 and really liked it. But there's so many synths that I haven't tried or thought of. Nord? Blofeld? And I want to do this fully thought through. I'm not one who buys and sells a lot. I usually buy few, but expensive instruments that I keep, even thought I shift fokus and start playing something different (instrument or genre) once in a while.
Edit:
I want a standalone synth with keyboard. I don't use a computer when making and playing music.

You should check out a British company called Modal Electronics. They make two models: Modulus 002 (digital oscillators, analog filter) and Modulus 008 (completely discrete analog). Their synths are fairly expensive, but they are definitely worth it.

I've been using my Little Phatty with a Clavia G2 and I feel then go well together.
I'm about to test à Voyager along with a Multitrak, to decide if I keep it or not (the Multitrak). I actually have two of them, one needing some minor repairs. Ask me soon in case I haven't given any impression.

I sold of my JX3P a while ago as it was too limited. I find that my VFX-SD is the best poly with the Voyager for me. (And I have that and a Fizmo, a Tg33, U220, U20, Hammond and Piano.) Found the Blofeld to not play well nor did the Nord G1.

If you want DSP based go with a Virus. If you're in the mood for analog poly, the Elektron Analog 4 pairs extremely well with a Voyager, and comes in a keys version as well. Personally I love using my XL as a master to the A4, and I could see it being equally useful for one of the Virus rack versions as well.

I have one at home right now that I've borrowed and I feel the same.
Thinking about a Prophet 6. Reeeeeally expensive though. But the Voyager wasn't cheap either and I absolutely love it, and play a lot on it because of that.

That thing (OBX) is a monster. Every conversation ends with "OBX!" and it should. I was just talking to Tony Clark about yours and Scott's board work etc. last week when he was in Pennsylvania for our other [unmentionable] pastime.
