Sub 37 "clicky"

I had a sub 37-- returned it-- and then found I could not live without it so am picking up another one in two days. Never had a Moog before and after having one simply cannot live without one.
I noticed on my sub 37 that a lot of the sounds I dialed in had an unfortunate clicking sound. Have other people noticed this and is there a way to get rid of it? It is especially bothersome on smooth soft sounds where that click really stands out. I have noticed on videos online that there are some complaints about the clicky-ness of this synth also.

The Sub37 has very fast envelopes for modern sounds including 'clicky' ones. However, you can set the envelopes to, even in fast mode, to not click by simply lengthening the attack and maybe the reales stages.

Hi,
what is this fast mode and how do you activate it? How do you know if you're in fast mode or not?

You can set the envelope attack mode on both the FILTER EG and the AMP EG to linear or exponential, - where exponential can be the "fast" mode. Press the "preset"-button for a second or so to enter the "preset edit menu". Enter either of the submenus for the envelopes, and dial in the wanted mode under "EXP.ATTACK".

Hi Greg, {EDIT - lutlei, you beat me by 120 seconds!}
I believe the reference is to the
EXP. ATTACK parameter found in both the FILTER EG and AMP EG sub menus, which are both in the PRESET EDIT menu:
EXP. ATTACK (FILTER EG 1.2)
This parameter determines if the filter envelope’s attack curve is linear (
OFF) or exponential (
ON). An exponential attack will have a steeper slope on its way to the maximum value. Each slope has its own sonic advantages, which vary depending on whether you’re using very fast or very slow attack times.
EXP. ATTACK (AMP EG 1.2)
This parameter determines if the amplifier envelope’s attack curve is linear (
OFF) or exponential (
ON). An exponential attack will have a steeper slope on its way to the maximum value. Each slope has its own sonic advantages, which vary depending on whether you’re using very fast or very slow attack times.

Thanks Dan and Lutlei, I'll check that.

Yes, exactly that. Poor wording choice on my part, sorry!

Also, I was just reading the updated manual and it reminded me that if you have KB RESET set to ON for the the oscillators, you can get clicks as well.

Thank you! I'll have to see if this works! Some sounds I like it...but others it can be annoying, and I didn't know if my sub was malfunctioning
update***
I changed the settings for the envilopes and I still get a click, I'll have to make a video and post it. I would like to see if it's normal.
